Our preacher, Rick Walker, became a Christian when he was in his middle twenties. He was a Respiratory Therapist and the Director of a Pulmonary Medicine Department in a medical center in South Florida. Before his conversion he was involved in all the same worldly things that we see around us today. After he and his new bride, Christine, became Christians they got involved with a congregation of the Lord’s people. Before long he realized that all of the same reasons he got into the medical field were needed in ministry, only the rewards are eternal. He returned to school and received a degree in Bible. After working with the church in South Florida for six years, Rick and his family (Chris and their two children, Josh and Jackie) moved to Golden. He has been serving with us since 1991. Rick strongly believes in the Bible as the inspired word of God and that Jesus is truly the answer to our problems.

    We asked some members to give their thoughts about Rick so you could get to know him better. The following are a few of the ones we received:
