The Golden Church of Christ believes that it is our duty to “preach the gospel to the whole creation” (Mark 16:15).  Our missionary committee consisting of Tom and Vicki Ratts, Jim and Carol Rouse, Rick and Chris Walker, Dave and Linda Borgelt, Daryl Lind, Charles Barrows, Michael Clark, Deb Parker and John Cranford under the oversight of the elders, leads the congregation toward regular involvement with our present missionary and the development of new works.

Presently we support the work of Franco Verardi in Lattiano, Italy.  It is our goal to grow to the point where we can support mission work on every continent.

Franco Verardi-Latiano Italy…. Franco is a preacher of the Word in Southern Italy.He has been preaching the gospel for a number of years. He has been working with other brothers in Southern Italy at the congregations of Latiano, Masagne, San Vito, and Taranto.He along with other brothers Vito Ligorio and Stefano Spina hope to get congregations established in Brindisi and Grttaglie.Franco is married to a wonderful lady, Anna Maria.They have two children Maria and Mino. Franco will be receiving some support from the Church of Christ at Golden. Franco does not speak English , but you can feel free to e-mail him and Vito or Maria will help in the translation. Vito Ligorio - Latiano,Italy.Vito has been a preacher of the gospel for nearly 40 years in Southern Italy.The Lord has used him to establish congregations in Brindisi, Latiano, San Vito, Mesagne, and Taranto.  

He lives with his wife, Antonietta, and daughter, Christina, and grandson, Tobias in Latiano.His other daughter lives in New York City.  

Vito's dream is to prepare men in Southern Italy to expand the Lord’s Church and to that end has gotten Franco Veradi and Stefano Spina involved in preaching the Word.Vito has also been very active in helping with the work in Southern Albania.Vito receives support from many churches, but his primary support comes from the Anderson Road Church of Christ in Indiana.Vito speaks and reads English very well.

Stefano Spina - Taranto, Italy.  Stefano lives with his wife, Rina, and son, Dario in Taranto, Italy where he is the minister at the Taranto Church of Christ.   Stefano has been preaching the gospel there for several years. Originally from Sicily, the Lord called Stefano to become a full-time minister of the Word, and Stefano has never looked back.He also has two daughters who attend a  university in Sicily.   Stefano has also been involved with the work in Southern Albania.  

Stefano receives his primary support from the Anderson road Church of Christ as well some other churches in the United States.Stefano does not speak English, but his wife Rina will help with translating if you would like to send him an e-mail.

Virgil Jackson-Vlore, Albania…Virgil and his wife, Jackie, have been in Southern Albania for almost 10 years.They have seen and lived through the collapse of the government and economy in this very difficult mission field.They have been working and have established the church in Vlore and also in Fier which is about 50 kilometers away.They have a Bible Camp for children in the foothills of Southern Albania.They receive their primary support from the Church in Searcy, Arkansas where Harding University is located.Feel free to contact them and encourage them.They need all the prayers they can get.

Golden supports Health Talents International in Guatemala. Golden also sponsors the ABC Program for children to get an education in Guatemala and is currently supporting seven children.
